The Team.





Mr. Martin Bosma studied sociology in the UvA (the University of Amsterdam) and later received a master from the New School of Social Research in New York. Since his graduation Mr. Bosma has worked with CNN Business, RTL4 and RTL5 (two of the Dutch commercial networks) and for the past two years he was part of Veronica Business News. Presently Mr. Martin Bosma is taking a sabathical year to put together the Financial Desk of De Hoeksteen. In Chapter I Armed Confrontations Martin Bosma is encharged of the conference overall coordination, will conduct interviews with participants, will moderate debates and chair round tables.

Mr. O. Cherribi is a member of the Dutch parlament (Second Chamber) for the VVD (one of the two liberal parties in the Netherlands) Congresman Cherribi is the spokeman on European Defence for his party. He has been a involved in Chapter I Armed Confrontations from the very early stages of the project, acting as an advisor and developing contacts with groups and individuals, that thanks to him, are now taking part in the conference. In October Congresman Cherribi will give a talk about the Dutch possition in European Defence, will moderate some of the debates and chair some round tables.




Mr. Dick van Eijk studied political sciences at the UvA (Amsterdam Universty) Mr. van Eijk is a journalist, an Editor of the NRC Handelsblad, one of the two leading dailies in the Netherlands. He is also a political editor of De Hoeksteen Live! (Radio and Television) and a contributing editor of De Hoeksteen Net (The on-line magazine of De Hoeksteen) In Chapter I Armed Conflicts, Mr. van Eijk will conduct interviews with participants, will moderate some of the debates and will chair some of the round tables.

Mr. Bernardo (Gutierrez) Zuluaga is presently the First Secretary of the Colombian Embassy in the Netherlands. Formerly Mr. (Gutierrez) Zuluaga was the Military Commander of El Ejercito de Liberacion Popular (Popular Liberation Army) on of the guerrilla factions in Colombia. Mr. (Gutierrez) Zuluaga has been a close advisor to 's Editorial Team on Human Rights and will give a presentation on the subject during the conference.

GERTJAN van HEGELSOM Mr. van Hegelsom a former Navy man himself is today the head of the Legal Affairs Department of the Dutch Ministry of Defence. He has been involved in the development of Chapter I Armed Confrontations since the very early stages of the conference and has lead the developmnet of one of the most important subjects of the conference: Civilian Population and Armed Conflicts. He has also acted as liason between Chapter I Armed Confrontations and other Departments with in the Ministry of Defence. During the conference Mr. van Hegelsom will give a talk the on rights of the Civilian Population during Armed Conflicts and will chair a round table on the subject.

ERIK LINT. After studying at the drama department of the University of Amsterdam Mr. Erik Lint has been working with communications for almost a decade and at present he has his own cable television program 'Pizza-Tv'in Rotterdam. He is also teaching at the Film and Television Department of the UvA. In Chapter I Mr. Lint is handling the logistics of communications.




Raul Marroquin is a Colombian media artist living in the Netherlands since 1971 and the initiator of Chapter I Armed Confrontations. Mainly working in the mainframe centre Das Boot.







MauzZ A graduate form the AKI (Academy of Art and Industry) in Enschede in the East of the Netherlands MauzZ is a media artist and the television director of De Hoeksteen Live! Television. In Chapter I Armed Confrontations MauzZ is the director of live television and satellite communications.

Ron Milttenburg is a philosopher and free lance journalist, the editor in chief of De Hoeksteen Live! Television. In Chapter I Armed Confrontations Mr Milttenburg is coordinating theEeditorial Team.




Bart Oomen is a stage actor and a telecommuncations expert, he is also the head of teleconferencing in De Hoeksteen. In Mr. Oomen is taking care of ISDN teleconferencing and of radio in the net.


Ms. Nicole Smits is a graduate of the faculty of Film and Television Sciences of the UvA and the Editor in Chief of De Hoeksteen Net, the on-line magazine of De Hoeksteen in the WWW. In Chapter I Armed Confrontations, Ms. Smits is the Editor in Chief of the page in the WWW.




Doctor Villegas is the second functionary of the Colombian Embassy in The Hague. Among his many functions with in the Embassy, Doctor Villegas is representing Colombia in the Preparatory Comission for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons that is presently been formed in The Hague. Doctor Villegas has advised the 's editorial team on Chemical Weapons and has helped to put togeteher the programing regarding this particular subject within the context of the Confernce.

Guido Vriesinga is a web page designer and a member of the production team of De Hoeksteen Net. From the early preproduction stages of Chapter I Armed Confrontations, Mr Vriesinga has been Mantaining the page in the WWW and is reponsable for all of the on-line services during the conference.
