-EXPANDING THE NO FLY ZONE
Hours after the attack, British and U.S. officials announced the expanssion of the
"No-Fly Zone."

Malcom Rifkind the British Minister of Foreing Affairs annonced that it
was necessary to go up one grade North of the 36th. parallel:
"in order to protect allied planes flying missions and to bring Saddam
Hussein under control."

U.S. planes flew 20 missions in the newly impossed "No-Fly Zone" and encounter
little resistance from Iraqi planes or anti aircraft fire.
