STRIKE ON IRAQ



-THE STRIKE.



  • A total of 27 missiles were fired against Iraqi antiaircraft and radar installations South of Bahgdah.









  • Two B-52 bombers were used for the strike and missiles were fired from the USS Laboon and the USS Shilo positioned off the Persian Gulf U.S.A.









  • Airfoce General Ralston, Vice Chairman of the Chiefs, of Staff told reporters in Washington right after the strike that the USA attack took place under orders from Eduard Moore, Commander of the U.S. Navy unit station in the Gulf: "as a warning to Saddam Hussein and as a reminder that he must complies with the U.N. resolutions" according to Moore.
    Iraqi sources reported 8 people dead after the attack some of them civilians.
