Banana Nut Bread

1 cup dark sugar (packed)
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
11/2 cup mashed bananas
1 tablespoon limon juice
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon backing powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts, broken in pieces
Cream sugar and butter (mix till smooth). Add eggs one at a time. Beat hard
after each. Stir in bananas and lemon juice. Sift together flour, backing
powder and saalt. Add to other mixture and mix quickly. stir in nuts.
Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake one hour at 350 f. Let cool completely
before servig.
