Liza May Post placed six, large scale, photographic works in the museums of
the Hofvijver area. The places she
chooses are not primairaly located in the rooms but in passageways, halls,
interior courtyards and side rooms. These photographic images cannot be reduced to one
all-encompassing story; just like the live guards, they seem to incorporate
isolated moments of flesh and blood that are submitted to the test of time.
But realism in the true sense is out of the question. It concerns acts and
situations in which the alienating emphasis is staged in detail and later
freed again by being imbedded in the surroundings.
