'blocked'




Andrea Fraser and Clegg & Guttmann proposed to erect an 
extra-architectural presentation of works of art from 
the collections of the participating museums. After 
long and extensive preparation with all the organizing 
participants, this idea of was put under the carpet by 
Stichting Hofvijvermusea en Stroom/hcbk. 
Although from the start the proposal was clear in its 
consequences and no new information was added in course 
of the time, the collaboration stopped and financial 
resources were blocked when the proposal came to its 
realization. But it was not the intention of the artists 
to make a 'conceptual' or 'proposed' work. 
'Real' works make 'things' real.
